Privacy Policy

FreshFindr is a Chrome extension designed to help users monitor saved Facebook Marketplace searches, estimate listing freshness, organize viewed listings, and contact sellers using Facebook’s native Marketplace message flow.

This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Facebook, or Facebook Marketplace.

Information stored locally

FreshFindr stores some information locally in your browser so the extension can function. This may include:

  • Saved Marketplace search URLs
  • Search names and selected search settings
  • Selected radii and discovery settings
  • Listing IDs for viewed listings
  • Listing IDs for listings marked as sent or active
  • Fresh listing records detected by the extension
  • Extension preferences and display settings
  • A randomly generated installation ID
  • License activation status

This local data is stored using Chrome extension storage and is used only to provide the extension’s features.

Information sent to our license server

FreshFindr uses license validation to control access to the extension. During activation and periodic validation, the extension may send:

  • The license key entered by the user
  • A randomly generated installation ID
  • The extension version
  • License status check requests

This information is used to verify access, enforce device limits, manage subscriptions or expiration dates, and prevent unauthorized sharing.

Information we do not collect

FreshFindr does not collect:

  • Facebook passwords
  • Facebook login credentials
  • Payment card information
  • Private Facebook messages
  • Full Facebook account data
  • Browser history outside of the extension’s Marketplace functionality

Third-party services

FreshFindr may use third-party infrastructure providers to operate license validation and admin tools. These services are used only to support extension access and license management.

Data sharing

We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for advertising. We do not transfer user data to third parties except as necessary to operate license validation, hosting, storage, or payment-related infrastructure.

User control

Users can remove locally stored extension data by removing the extension from Chrome or clearing the extension’s stored data.

Users may contact the developer to request license reset, license deactivation, or account-related support.
